Microsoft sells the Galaxy S8 models through its stores in the US and Google announced a special deal with Samsung to make the Google Play Music an exclusive music app for the flagship handset. Now, it seems that S8 owners have started reaping the benefits of this exclusivity from Google’s ends.
The Play Music app on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ has gained an exclusive radio channel. Called the ‘New Release Radio’ feature, the channel will provide the users of the Galaxy S8 a mix of all the latest tracks. The channel will play a collection of latest songs while keeping in mind an individual’s unique music preferences.
This is the second benefit from Google after the initial free three-month trial to upload 100,000 songs instead of the standard 50,000 for Galaxy S8 users. It seems that there will be many more exclusive features coming to the Samsung flagship over its lifecycle.
However, certain Reddit members have claimed that last year’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have also been experiencing the new Google Play Music feature. While there’s no official confirmation on that, it seems that some more models in Samsung’s flagship line-up could taste the exclusive feature.
