Honor 10 Lite gets EMUI 9.1 in India

All Indian users are set to get the update within the next two weeks.

The Honor 10 Lite is one of the brand’s mid range devices that got an update to EMUI 9.1 back in June in China. Now the rollout has expanded to India and users of the Honor 10 lite in the country should soon get an OTA notification for the same.

If you do not get a notification OTA right away, do not panic as updates usually roll out in phases and the best thing to do is wait it out. All Indian users are set to get the update within the next two weeks.

EMUI 9.1 brings some neat changes like GPU Turbo 3.0 which not only improves gaming performance on the device but also reduces power usage by 10 per cent. Another main highlight of the new update is the EROFS file system. The update gets the faster file system to the Honor 10 Lite as well. Switching to EROFS gets you a 20 per cent increase in reading speeds and saves about 2GB of system storage.

The Honor 10 Lite has a 6.21-inch LCD touchscreen sporting a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by the 2.2Ghz + 1.7Ghz Kirin 710 octa-core processor and 4GB RAM. There is a 3400mAh battery on the smartphone.

The phone has a 13MP + 2Mp dual camera setup on the rear and a 24MP front facing camera. It is available in variants of 32GB and 64GB.
