Dual screen YotaPhone to return in 2017 in a new avatar

The YotaPhone 3 is expected to ship with mid-range specifications but sport a larger 5.5-inch front display and 5.2-inch rear display.

The idea of dual specifications in a smartphone is the trend of the moment in the smartphone industry. You have dual rear cameras, dual front cameras and dual displays (LG V20). Talking about dual displays, Russian manufacturer was the first to bring two full-sized display units on a commercially available smartphone. The first YotaPhone found a decent amount of interest in 2012, followed by the YotaPhone 2 with improved specifications and build. Now, it's time for a new one and it will obviously be called the YotaPhone 3.

In a recent conference in China, the YotaPhone 3 will be unveiled later in the year. The device will have dual displays, with an E Ink unit in the rear and an AMOLED unit in the front. There will be a 64GB and 128 GB variant, available for $350 and $450 respectively. Both of them will be available in Russia and China this November. The device was also teased in an image.
