Watch: Leaked Meizu 16s video demos its app opening speed

The handset is scheduled to launch next week and from the initial leak we can see that it is pretty zippy.

Chinese super brand Meizu is set to introduce its latest flagship, the Meizu 16s next week on April 23 and though it's not officially announced, details regarding the highly anticipated handset are coming in quick and fast. After appearing on popular benchmarking tool AnTuTu, and posting an impressive score of 374190 points, we now see the handset in a leaked video showing off its amazingly fast speed.

A report by GSMArena states that the leaked video has been posted by a Meizu engineer we see how impressive the handset actually is. The engineer who had previously leaked the AnTuTu benchmark scores now shows the handset opening 20 apps in a mere 99 seconds. The report claims that the test comprised of two app opening rounds and we see that the Meizu 16s is capable of running a minimum of 20 apps in the background. Unfortunately, the handset was in a protective casing thereby not revealing how it looks.

The Meizu 16s, when launched, will come with a 6.2-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with extremely slim bezels. The handset will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and under the hood, it will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM. For storage, there will be 128GB. The Meizu 16s comes with a dual rear camera configuration comprising of a 48MP primary Sony sensor and a 20MP secondary sensor. The front-facing camera is said to be a 20MP shooter.

The Meizu 16s will come with Flyme OS 7.3 that’s based on Android Pie. There is a 3540mAh battery that will support 24W fast charging. Lastly, the handset will come in three colour options — Black, White and gradient Blue.
