Xiaomi Redmi Go launched at an incredible price of Rs 4,499

The handset comes with SD425 SoC, Android Oreo (Go Edition) and 5-inch HD display.

At an event in Delhi Xiaomi’s newest sub-brand, Redmi has just announced its most affordable handset in India, the Redmi Go. Keeping in tune with Xiaomi’s policy of honest pricing, the brand has priced the handset at an unbeatable price of Rs 4,499.

After launching the handset globally, the Redmi Go has finally launched in India and it comes with India-specific features such as support for over 20 Indian languages along with Google Assistant support in Hindi and more.

The Redmi Go has been priced in India at Rs 4,499 for the 1GB RAM and 8GB storage version, which is the only option available so far in the country. The handset once launched on March 22 will be available in two colour options — Black and Blue. The handset will go on sale on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Store from 12 noon. Xiaomi has partnered with Jio and have a Rs 2,200 cashback offer and up to 100GB of free data.

The Redmi Go is a dual-SIM handset that runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and comes with a 5-inch HD display that sports a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The handset is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset alongside Adreno 308 GPU and paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

The Redmi Go comes with an 8MP shooter on the rear with an f/2.0 aperture that’s assisted by an LED flash. The front-facing camera is rated at 5MP with an F/2.2 aperture.

The Redmi Go features a 3000mAh battery that’s said to feature a 10-day standby time. And lastly, the handset comes with two microphones that are aimed to reduce the ambient noise in phone calls.
