ASUS Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1 goes official in India

The smartphones run on a Snapdragon 430 chipset and features a 5.45-inch HD+ display.

ASUS has launched its two new budget smartphones labelled — Zenfone Max M1 and the Zenfone Lite L1 in India, priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 6,999, respectively.

To begin with, the ASUS Zenfone Max M1 gets a 5.45-inch 2.5D HD+ display with an 82 per cent of screen-to-body ratio. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 out-of-the-box. At its core, the handset runs on a Snapdragon 430 chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB. There's a massive 4000mAh battery under the hood.

The smartphone packs in a 13MP f/2.0 rear shooter with PDAF and a LED flash module. Upfront, there's an 8MP f/2.2 selfie camera with aperture and LED flash. The device has 4G LTE (no Dual 4G), VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro-USB Port. For additional security, the fingerprint sensor is also present on the rear and a software-based face unlock functionality as well.

Coming to the ASUS Zenfone Lite L1, the device features a 5.45-inch HD+ display. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based ZenUI 5.0. Under the hood, the handset is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC aided by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is also expandable via a microSD card slot. Optics wise, the Lite L1 gets a 13MP camera and a 5MP selfie camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro-USB port. It lacks a fingerprint sensor but it does offer the face unlock functionality. Lastly, both smartphones will be available in Black and Gold colour options.
