Huawei brings P9 to India at Rs 39,999
Huawei has launched its P9 flagship smartphone for the Indian market. The device is priced at Rs 39,999 and will be selling exclusively through the e-commerce website Flipkart.
Talking of specification, the new smartphone features a 5.2 inch Full HD IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and is powered by a Hi-Silicon Kirin 955 octa-core processor (2.5GHz quad-core Cortex-A72 + 1.8GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 cores) backed by 3GB RAM.
The highlight of the smartphone is the dual camera setup on the rear panel, which is co-engineered with Leica. The device boasts a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 apertures - one camera captures colour images, while the other captures monochrome images. It also has an 8MP front facing camera.
The Huawei P9 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped around company’s own EMUI 4.1. On the storage front, it has 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.
Connectivity options on the Huawei P9 includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, Infrared, and USB Type-C. It is juiced by a 3000mAh battery and also offers VIP service with 2-year warranty and 3-month screen replacement warranty. The smartphone will ship in Titanium Grey, Ceramic White and Prestige Gold colour variants.
Huawei earlier showcased its P9 Plus smartphone, which comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It features a larger 5.5 inch display and is fuelled by a bigger 3400mAh battery.
