Doogee, a chinese smartphone maker is soon to introduce its latest offering, the Doogee S90 Pro, a powerful smartphone that can not only deliver in terms of performance but also survive extreme conditions.

Just how rugged is this thing?

To begin with, the Doogee S90 Pro presents you with two Ingress Protection IP ratings, IP-68 and IP-69K, and comes with US military grade designed hardware.

The IP-68 rating means the smartphone can survive in water upto depths of 1.5 meters, and the company claims that due to the sturdy and rugged build, the Doogee S9 pro can stay underwater for up to two weeks and still survive.

The IP-69 rating means that apart from the water, the phone can also survive in high temperatures and high pressures.

The phone also comes with the MIL-STD-810G rating, which basically means the device is as sturdy as any equipment with the same rating used in the US Army, Navy and Airforce.

What else can it do?

The phone also supports several modular accessories including a game controller, a battery add-on, and even a night camera module. There’s even a module with an extended antenna, which is likely for improving the signal-range on the device.

Let’s talk specifications

The Doogee S90 Pro features a 6.18inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Featuring a notch design, the front of the phone sports a 8MP F/2.0 super-wide selfie camera, while the back has a 16MP+8MP dual camera setup with dual LED flashes. There’s even a fingerprint reader on the back.

The phone will run on a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The device will run on a 5,050  mAh battery and comes with 24W fast charging support, and even wireless charging at 10W.

Software-wise the S90 Pro will run on Android 9.0 Pie and will have a separate proghrammable shortcut key that can be set to activate any feature or function that the phone can perform. Oh and yes, there’s NFC support too, if that was a deal-breaker for you.

Availability

The phone is available from the Doogee website for USD 299, or roughly Rs 20,600. There’s also a bundle that comes with all the accessories included which sells for USD 460, or roughly Rs 31,680.
