Pokemon Go, the crazy addictive game is reportedly famous for people being addicted over the new augmented reality amusement. The game is so addictive that studies and reports claim that a playing Pokemon Go user is hooked to his smartphone for an average 25 minutes each day. This continuous playing, along with the resources needed for the game to function will eat into the battery life of a smartphone. This immense drain of the battery will require smartphone brands to make future devices with higher rated batteries, causing the smartphones to be made with a thicker body to accommodate larger sized batteries.

Playing Pokemon Go needs the device to perform well. The resources needed for Pokemon Go are a continuously on display, GPS, internet and audio. This causes the smartphone to eat into the battery life. And since the user needs to play outdoors and keep moving around, it is not possible to keep the smartphone plugged into the charger all time. This would probably mean users would have to tag along a power bank to ensure that their smartphones are powered well. However, charging the smartphone multiple times requires a larger capacity powerbank, which are heavy and bulky. Carrying a powerbank is tedious, so smartphone companies may bank on larger capacity batteries for their future generation handsets.
So probably, we may see a next smartphone advertisement which could say ‘made for Pokemon Go’.
