Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime launched in India: specifications, price and more
Samsung has launched its latest mid-range smartphone — Galaxy On7 Prime in India. The key highlights of the handset are its Samsung Mall visual search feature, Samsung Pay mini support and camera sensors on the front and the back and 4GB RAM. The Galaxy On7 Prime is available exclusively on Amazon India and the Samsung Shop and will go on sale starting January 20.
Talking about the launch offers, if JioMoney users buy the Rs 299 plan for 24 months every month, they will get up to Rs 2,000 as cashback. Rs 800 will initially be credited back after the first 12 months and the next Rs 1,200 will be credited over the next 12 months.
The Galaxy On7 Prime sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, 16M colour depth. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset. The 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is available at Rs 14,990 and the 3GB RAM/32 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 12,990. Both the variants are expandable up to 256GB. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the Samsung Experience 8.5 customisation on top. The smartphone is available in two colour variants — Gold and Black.
The company says that the Samsung Mall feature is one of the biggest USPs of Galaxy On7 Prime, giving consumers the access to Visual Search. Users can click a picture of any product with this feature and Samsung Mall will show search results of similar products from across online shopping sites. One-stop Shop feature, on the other hand, will let users search and shop from across multiple online shopping sites and with Universal Cart, users can add items from multiple online shopping sites and review them in a single cart.
On the photography front, the handset sports a 13MP CMOS sensor with a f/1.9 aperture for both the front and rear cameras. The Galaxy On7 Prime draws power from 3300mAh battery and weighs about 167 grams. On the Connectivity front, the Galaxy On7 Prime includes Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
