Nokia X7 aka Nokia 7.1 Plus with Snapdragon 710 SoC launched
After launching the Nokia 3.1 Plus, HMD Global has now launched yet another smartphone — the Nokia X7 in China. The smartphone is expected to be launched as the Nokia 7.1 Plus globally, including India. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, and the company says that the handset will be upgradable to Android 9 Pie.
Similar to the Nokia 5.1 Plus and the Nokia 6.1 Plus, the Nokia X7 also comes with a glass design, and edge-to-edge notched display. The device features a 6.18-inch 2.5D full HD+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio and an 86.5 per cent of screen-to-body ratio. At its core, the smartphone runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset aided by 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 400GB.
In terms of photography, the handset packs a dual rear camera setup and Nokia has included ZEISS optics lens. There is a 12MP f/1.8 camera with dual-pixel autofocus and OIS, and a 13MP camera with fixed focus. On the front, the device gets a 20MP f/2.0 selfie camera, coupled with AI enhancements, and fixed focus. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, FM radio, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is kept alive by a 3500mAh battery and it supports 18W fast charging.
Coming to the price, the Nokia X7 is priced at CNY 1,699 (approx Rs 18,000) for the 4GB variant, CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 21,200) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, and CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 26,500) for the 6GB/128GB configuration. The smartphone will be available in Dark Blue, Night Red, Night Black, and Magic Night Silver colour variants in China.
