Apple's plan B in case the home button doesn't work

Apple reportedly has a software workaround for the iPhone 7's home button in case it malfunctions.

One of the biggest changes to Apple’s latest flagship was the removal of the device’s headphone jack. Now recent report published by a MacRumors forum user suggest the iPhone 7 display a home button in the phone’s screen itself.

According to the user, this function is active when it detects that there might be a problem with the actual home button.

The user’s iPhone 7 turned itself off and when he powered it back on, a message appeared on the screen which read: The Home Button may need service. In the meantime, you can use the onscreen Home button below.

User that goes by the name of iWayne even tried switching his phone off in attempts that his home button will start working again but it didn’t seem to work out.

‘Yes and it worked at first then started spazzing out. The Haptic engine kept firing 3-4 times in a row for every "press". I restarted again and it's back to not working,’ he posted.
