Apple's iPhone 7 to have extra speaker in place of headphone jack: report
New Delhi: If recent rumours are to be believed, Tech giant Apple will be equipping the upcoming iPhone 7 with an additional speaker in place of the headphone jack and will also use enhanced Bluetooth wireless headphones.
The upcoming iPhone 7 is speculated to release later this year and the part of the phone that currently holds the jack on the left hand side on the bottom end corner will be removed, and an additional speaker will take up its place, according to according to a Barclays research memo obtained by Apple Insider.
With the rising popularity of stereo speakers and Apple’s interest towards incorporating stereo audio for all their devices—as seen with the iPad Pro—seems the probable reason.
Several reports also pointed out that the company is also looking to replace the current line of headphones with an upgraded, wireless model.
Moreover, others gossips have hinted that the new headphones will also come along with enhanced noise cancellation technology.
Apple has not yet commented or announced any such specific details and we can only wait till the phone is finally launched.
