Christmas is approaching, which means its time for the world to bathe in shade of Santa red. Not only Christmas trees, but even smartphone manufacturers are bathing their popular models in a glamorous coat of red. Xiaomi has also joined the bandwagon and unveiled a red colour variant of its 2017 hit — the Mi A1.
Like all other ‘red variants’ from other manufacturers, such as Samsung and OnePlus, Xiaomi has simply given the black variant of the Mi A1 a coat of red paint on its rear panel. Therefore, the red Mi A1 with a black face looks appealing at first sight.
However, don’t fret if you have recently got yourself a Mi A1 as the new variant comes with no new bells and whistles — it is still using the Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a 12MP dual camera. It is not yet known whether the red variant will introduce Android Oreo to the Mi A1, making it one of the very few phones to bite into the sweetest version of Android. The red Mi A1 is retailing in Indonesia for approximately Rs 13,700.
