According to the listing, the new generation of the flagship come with smaller battery capacity compared to their predecessors.

Apple recently launched its flagship iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at its annual event. The new iPhones come with few design tweaks and upgraded innards. However, the devices have been challenged in terms of battery reservoirs by a TENAA listing. According to the listing, the new generation of the flagship come with smaller battery capacity compared to their predecessors.

A Twitter post reveals the listing that shows that the iPhone 8 sports an 1821mAh battery compared to the 1960mAh battery on the iPhone 7. The iPhone 8 Plus is fuelled by a 2675mAh battery whereas the iPhone 7 Plus had a 2900mAh battery.

The post also reveals that the iPhone 8 has 2GB RAM while the iPhone 8 Plus has 3GB RAM, similar to the previous generation. Apple highly depends on its hardware-software optimisation to extract the most power from the batteries.

To recall, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus come with a faster A11 Bionic chip with a full glass body and support wireless charging while incorporating augmented reality support in the camera module.

Although the design of the new iPhones is similar to the design seen on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but the new devices are 30 per cent faster and offer 25 per cent louder sound than iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
