Honor 10 with 19:9 display, 24MP cameras launched: Price, specifications, features
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched its latest smartphone Honor 10 globally at an event in London on May 15. The smartphone boasts of Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, placed on the bottom bezel. It also sports a front fingerprint sensor which the company claims can unlock the device even with wet hands. The key features of the smartphone are its 24MP cameras, a 19:9 FullView display with an iPhone X inspired notch display and its home-brewed HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset.
The smartphone features a 5.84-inch display with a resolution of 1080x2280 pixels. At the heart, the Honor 10 runs on octa-core Kirin 970 SoC, clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage. Honor also launched a 64GB variant which is not yet announced in India. The handset runs on EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Honor 10 boasts of a 24MP+16MP dual rear camera setup along with a f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, and AI mode. The AI-based setup facilitates features such as 3D Portrait Lighting and HDR mode among others. Upfront, the device sports an AI-assisted 1.8-micron 24MP sensor and a 3D Portrait Lighting mode.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Honor 10 is fuelled by a 3400mAh battery. The smartphone comes in four colour variants — Black, Grey, Phantom Green and Phantom Blue.
The Honor 10 costs Rs 32,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant. In India, the smartphone is exclusive on Flipkart and pre-orders have already started.
Coming to the launch offers, one can exchange any Honor devices and get up to Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 for other smartphones in the market. Furthermore, this offer will be live from May 16 till May 18. Bajaj Finserv consumers can avail no cost EMI on May 16 only. Jio users can get a cashback of Rs 1,200 along with 100GB of additional data. Axis Bank customers will get 10 per cent instant cashback.
