Apple has confirmed to release its latest operating system iOS 11 to iPhones and iPads on Sep. 19, next week.
The OS was publicly announced at Apple’s annual World Wide Developer’s conference held in June, with a host of additional and improved features currently available on iOS 10.
The best of iOS 11 features include new Control Center, smarter Siri, Do Not Disturb for driving and hidden “dark mode”.
In comparison to iPhone, the platform will bring more changes to the iPad by including a new dock, drag-and-drop, muti-tasking and more.
The new OS will be available for download to iPhone 5s and above models, iPad mini 2 and above models, iPod touch and iPod 6th generation on Sept. 19. While the recently announced iPhone 8 line and the iPhone X, slated to release in the market on Nov. 3, will come pre-installed with it.
