RideSafe is a mobile app that aims to make a user’s daily commute safer. It detects deviation from the intended travel route in real-time. Since launch last year, over 10,000 women across the globe have used the app to make their commute safer.
The Android and iOS app uses the patent-pending technology called R2D2 -- Realtime Route Deviation Detection created by a team of IIT & BITS graduates. Just enter your destination when taking a Cab or Auto. On every trip, you can select a few contacts and the app will send them a free SMS, with a trip view link. They don't need the app to view the link. If the driver deviates from the intended route, the app we will alert you and also send messages to your registered contacts. On reaching your destination, your contacts will automatically get a second SMS notifying them of your safe arrival.
