Smartphone brand realme has launched the brand new realme UI and has shared the specifics about it as well.
In a press release circulated by the company, it said that the new User Interface is said to have functions like more speed, greater customization, focus mode-like features, etc. Further, it also said that the new realme custom interface should begin gradually rolling out to users through over the air updates from next month onwards.
Said to be based upon Google’s latest Android 10 OS and backed by OPPO's ColorOS 7, below is a list elaborating upon the UI's expected features.
1. Greater Customization
realme UI also introduced icon customization function. Not only the shape and size of the icons can be customized, but the internal graphic size of the icons can also be changed, whether it is square or round, large or small.
2. 11 new wallpapers inspired by natural elements
In the new UI, 11 new wallpapers inspired by natural elements will be included with the phones.
3. Quantum Animation Engine
The latest quantum animation engine will be included in the phone, touted to improve the screen fluency on devices. Further realme has said that more optimization has been made in the details of the animation, making it super cool.
4. Light, fast, power-saving features & new functions
The new realme interface has been said to be optimized in terms of fluency, power consumption and performance. Also, it should be able to give users faster speeds.
5. Three customized trendy functions to improve the user experience
A new ‘Focus Mode’ can keep users provisionally isolated from the outside world, and the system will simultaneously play some relaxing music to help users concentrate on the return to authenticity.
In previous ColorOS versions, 3-Finger Screenshot Gesture was widely used by many users. This time with the all new improved 3-Finger Screenshot, users only need to touch and hold the screen with three fingers for a few seconds, and then swipe down to select a specific area. Cropping would no longer be needed.
realme UI also aims to further protect user privacy as compared to older versions of Android, and changes the way your apps can access your personal information. By turning on “Personal Information Protection” in realmeUI, the system will provide empty information pages when the apps are requesting to access the user’s personal information. This ensures your call history, contacts, messages, or schedule stay private, and prevents any realme information leakage.
6. Inspiration for App icon design stems from core elements found in common household items
The app icon design also follows the concept of Real Design. realme UI uses the core elements found in common household items and embodies the combination of images and colors. For example, the "Settings" icon, derived from gear parts, is restructured through infinite circles as per the golden ratio, to comply with the original item. This light-figure design style can bring everyone a minimalist and dynamic icon design, which is more vivid and orderly.
