HMD Global today announced the availability of Nokia 8 in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 36,999 and will be available across key retail outlets including Croma, Reliance, Sangeetha Mobiles, Poorvika, BigC and Amazon.
The Nokia 8 is powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The smartphone sports a 5.3-inch 2K display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an Always-On display feature. The smartphone runs on near-stock Android 7.1 Nougat, which will be eventually upgraded to Android Oreo in the future.
The Nokia 8 comes with a Dual-Sight video to be live-streamed natively and in real-time to social feeds such as Facebook and YouTube. Dual-Sight simultaneously harnesses both the front and rear cameras in a split screen visual for both photos and videos. It also features Nokia OZO Audio, which records audio in 360° for a fully immersive audio experience to your 4K video.
The Nokia 8 will be available in four colours – Polished Blue, Tempered Blue and Steel. Nokia 8 in Polished Copper will be available a few weeks after the launch. Jio customers will get up to 100GB additional 4G data on Nokia 8. An additional 10GB Jio 4G data with every recharge of Rs. 309 or above, limited to 10 recharges till August 31, 2018.
