A few weeks ago, Vivo officially unveiled the NEX smartphones and the unique feature of this handset was that it had an elevated selfie camera. According to a report by MySmartPrice, it now appears that the NEX S will be the only one making its way to our shores leaving the NEX A for other markets. The handset in India will be called Vivo NEX. The report goes on to detail that the handset will be an Amazon exclusive and pre-orders for the same will begin on July 19. For those interested in purchasing the handset, the Vivo NEX will set you back by Rs 48,990.
The Vivo NEX includes an all-screen display, offering 91.24 per cent screen-to-body ratio, an in-screen fingerprint reader, an industry-leading Snapdragon 845 and a selfie camera that pops up.
The NEX runs on Snapdragon 845 chipset aided by 8GB of RAM. The handset comes with either 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage. The NEX smartphones feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display panel (2316 x 1080 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. The dual rear camera system consists of a 12MP sensor and a 5MP sensor. Upfront, the handsets sport an 8MP selfie camera. The devices are backed by a 4000mAh battery and run on Android 8.1 Oreo layered by FunTouch OS 4.0 along with AI enhancements.
