Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launch on August 2
Samsung has officially announced its plan to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 in an event slated on August 2. This finally marks an end to all the speculations reported so far about Samsung’s Galaxy Note 6/Note 7.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled at 11.00 am EDT (8.30 pm IST) in New York on August 2, 2016. Simultaneously, launch events will take place in Rio de Janeiro at noon and in London at 4.00 pm.
The company has also explained why they’ve planned to skip the Galaxy note 6 for the Galaxy Note 7. The company said, ‘There are a couple reasons why. First, the Galaxy Note7 will complement our Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, and unify our product portfolio. Second, the Galaxy Note7 will minimize confusion about the latest mobile technology from Samsung, and provide full alignment with Galaxy S smartphone.’

According to current rumours, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to feature an iris-scanner, a dual-edge display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels powered by the Snapdragon 823 SoC. In terms of storage, the device is expected to sport a 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, backed with a 4000mAh battery. As for the camera, the Galaxy Note 7 is believed to sport a rear-camera with 12 MP sensor and a front camera with 5MP sensor.
