The unlocked Moto Z Play will reportedly be receiving the latest Nougat update.
Android 7.0 Nougat
Smartphone manufacturer Motorola is among the first companies to make the latest Android update available for its users. The tech giant released Android Nougat updates for Moto Z and Moto Z Force along with other devices some time last year.
A new report published by Phone Arena suggests that the company plans on releasing the Nougat update for its unlocked Moto Z Play smartphone some time in March. While the device has already started receiving the OTA update, the Android Nougat 7.0 update will be followed next month.
The OTA update includes the multi-window feature for multi-tasking, Unicode 9.0 emoji and an enhanced version of Doze that saves battery life among other new features.
