Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has confirmed to launch its recently announced bezel-less smartphone Mi Mix 2 “soon” to the Indian market.
After the official unveiling of the device in the home market, the company’s VP and India head Manu Jain took to Twitter to confirm its arrival in India. He wrote: “Breaking news Mi Fans: Mi Mix 2 will be launching in India soon.

The announcement has arrived at a time when major smartphone players – Apple and Samsung are set to unveil their flagship devices in the market, and Xiaomi’s low cost, in comparison to iPhone 8 and Galaxy Note 8, device can serve as an alternative to buyers.
Mi Mix 2 features a 5.9-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s 2.45GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset and is offered with a choice of 6 or 8GB RAM. It sports a 12MP single rear camera with 4-axis image stabilisation and a 5MP front facing the camera with facial recognition features. The Mi Mix 2 also gains Bluetooth 5.0 along with a 3400mAh battery to power itself, which can be charged through a USB Type-C.it runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 with MIUI 9 atop.
The smartphone starts from RMB 3299 (Rs 32,000) for the 6GB/64GB storage variant. It is priced at RMB 3599 ( Rs 35,000) for the 6GB/12GB version and RMB 3999 (Rs 39,000) for the 6GB/256GB variant, and goes up to RMB 4699 (Rs 46,000) for 8GB/128GB variant with a full ceramic unibody.
