iOS 11: Find out if your device is compatible
Users received a glimpse of the flurry of updates coming from Apple this year at its WWDC 2017, which concluded recently. This included iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4 and tvOS 11. The firm announced that the iOS 11 beta for developers will be available almost immediately; with its public beta still on its way.
However, there is only a limited number of iOS devices that Apple has extended its iOS 11 support to. Find out if yours is on the list:
Following given devices are compatible with the latest iOS 11 update: iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 5s, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (first and second gen), iPad Pro 10.5-inch, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad (2017), iPad mini 4, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPod Touch 6th gen.
The devices that are not supported on iOS 11 are: Original iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, original iPod touch, iPod touch 2nd-gen, iPod touch 3rd-gen, iPod touch 4th-gen, iPod touch 5th-gen, original iPad. iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4.
Apple is expected to bring the official iOS 11 by the end of this year. The firm is widely expected to release it alongside its next-gen iPhone in September, 2017.
