Apple’s iPhone 8 (or iPhone Edition) is among the most awaited devices this year for obvious reasons. Firstly because Apple completes 10 years since it first launched the first iPhone.
Moreover, the Cupertino giant is expected to pack the upcoming device with as many exciting and new features as it possibly can. A new online report now suggests that Apple is working on a ‘smart connector’ that could possibly be used for interfacing with an AR or VR headset.
According to Israeli tech site The Verifier, Apple is currently working on a “Smart Connector” that is similar to a three-pin connector on the iPad Pro and can be used for interfacing with an AR or VR headset. The report further goes on to suggest that the Smart Connector could also be used for wireless charging for AR/VR headsets. It could also possibly be used to connect to other accessories.
Separately, the website also earlier claimed that Apple is working on group FaceTime calls for iOS 11.
