Leak! Is this the Galaxy Note 8?
“I will bring back a better, safer and very innovative Galaxy Note 8,” Samsung mobile chief, D.J. Koh, once said in an interview with CNET.
After what the S.Korean tech giant had experienced during the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, the firm has not ready to give upon its faith in the Note brand.
“The Galaxy Note 7 was very popular before user reports began circulating about devices that exploded or caught on fire while charging. As the phablet market, which was developed by Samsung Electronics, has been growing, the company will release the Note series this year again,” an official from the electronics industry stated, reported Business Korea in late January.
Statements from the firm’s officials had confirmed that Samsung will certainly bring the Galaxy Note 8 in 2017, but the leaks and rumours about the devices were yet to surface to believe.
A first image leak of Galaxy Note 8 seems to reassure the idea that the Galaxy Note Series is here to stay.
The image, purported to be of Galaxy Note 8, was posted online by Slashleaks, revealing the phone to look much like a phablet version of Samsung’s flagship phone Galaxy S8.
Similar to the Galaxy S8 smartphone, the phablet appears to feature “Infinity display,” Samsung’s new voice assistant Bixby, and a pressure-sensitive on-screen home button. Alongside these features, the Note 8 will also come with an S Pen Stylus.
The leaked image does not come with any support from the firm itself; we suggest taking the leak as a pinch of salt.
However, an earlier report by Business Korea revealed Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Note 8 in the second-half of the year, after releasing the Galaxy S8 in April.
