LG G6 to feature a non removable battery, won't ditch 3.5mm jack
LG is expected to unveil its flagship smartphone G6 in the first quarter of 2017, but the device is expected to hit the shelves sometime in the spring. LG is also expected to make a design overhaul and hardware tweaks with the G6.
The device is currently in its development cycle yet has already been caught in the rumour mill suggesting few alterations the company is going to do with its next flagship. The smartphone was initially rumoured to feature a removable battery, but a new report claims that the device will adopt the same unibody design but will come with a non-removable battery.
The report also suggests that the phone will boast a reflective metallic material, meaning the company is still on the verge of using glass body design for its devices.
Last but not least, LG has decided that keeping the 3.5mm audio jack is a good idea, so the G6 will pack one at launch. The phone will also include a USB Type-C port separate from the 3.5 mm jack.
Few reports also claim that an MST mobile payment service will also be announced alongside the G6. It could also sport an all-in-one iris scanner and will feature a waterproof design.
