Microsoft may postpone Surface Phone launch until 2018
Microsoft will be holding an event on October 26, where the company is expected to unveil the Surface All-in-one PC, it was also expected that the company take the wraps off the much anticipated Surface Phone.
But there are reports, that Redmond will not be launching its flagship smartphone at the event. Reports suggest that Microsoft will be introducing its next flagship in late 2017 or even early 2018, since the company is working on features that might not be ready by the scheduled time of launch.
Earlier there were reports that Microsoft has pushed back the launch of Surface Phone from October 26 to early 2017 in order to be aligned with the introduction of Redmond 2 update fro Windows 10. But now company’s plan seems to have changed and will only take place in a year or later.
The upcoming Surface Phone is said to be Microsoft’s only Windows 10 Mobile powered device, sine the company has planned to sack the Lumia brand to focus on a single device. There isn’t much information about the device available, but it’s believed that the Surface Phone would come with the latest in terms of hardware, as Microsoft wants it to be a flagship in all regards.
