A new leaked image shows a Samsung-made battery featuring an astounding 6000mAh capacity which is larger than anything we have witnessed in a smartphone till date. To put this into perspective, the ASUS 6Z packs a 5000mAh battery as well as the current Samsung budget device, the Galaxy M20. However, a 6000mAh battery will supersede anything we have seen thus far.
As per an exclusive leak by Galaxy Club, the leaked image appears to be originating from Samsung’s South Korean testing facility. This has led to speculation that the battery is being manufactured to be used in a future version of the M20 that’s currently being dubbed as M20S.
The Samsung Galaxy M20 is a mid-range device that’s sold in India and it comes with a 6.3-inch display and a tear-drop notch. However, the standout feature is its massive 5000mAh battery life that offers up to 101 hours of continuous audio playback.
Rumours are rife with the possibility that Samsung will be using this 6000mAh battery on an upcoming dual-screen foldable smartphone that could launch after the Galaxy Fold.
The current Galaxy Fold comes with two batteries that combine for 4380mAh with it reportedly performing well.
The 6000mAh battery could also make its way on to the upcoming Galaxy S11 flagship that will extend battery life beyond 48 hours. Samsung has traditionally tested new features on budget or mid-range handsets before using it on its flagship devices and the same could be the case with the 6000mAh battery....
