Moto E5, E5 Plus goes official in India: Price and specifications
Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched its latest budget smartphones called Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus at an event in New Delhi. The devices are priced at Rs 9,999 and 11,999 respectively, and will be Amazon exclusives and will start selling from midnight onwards.
The Moto E5 Plus flaunts a 6-inch 18:9 IPS display with a resolution of 720x1440 pixels. At its heart, the handset runs on Snapdragon 435 chipset accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery, with TurboCharge support. The smartphone comes in four colour variants — Black, Mineral Blue, Flash Gray, and Fine Gold.
The E5 Plus features a 12MP camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus, PDAF and a LED flash and an 8MP front shooter with a f/2.2 aperture. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 3.5mm earphone jack, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Micro-USB port. The smartphone's body has a splash-resistant coating that will help protect it from splashes of water.
Coming to the Moto E5, the handset sports a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the E5 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC, coupled with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. It is kept alive by a 4000mAh. The Moto E5 packs a 13MP rear camera sensor with a f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera. The phone will be available in Flash Gray and Fine Gold colour options. In terms of connectivity, the device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, and 3.5mm audio jack.
