It's a selfie-crazy world! Everybody, loves clicking pictures of themselves, day and night. Today, a selfie has many avatars: that out-of-the bed early morning look might be called a wakefie, a groupie is when you take it with your group of pals, a welfie is when you show-off your healthy body while working out.... the list goes on. Taking so many selfies can drain the battery of your device. Which is perhaps why Gionee’s recently launched A1 phone offers a combination of two important smart-phone features, the front camera and battery.
Like other selfie-centric devices, the A1 has higher resolution for its front camera -- 16 megapixels, with a F2.0 aperture and a front flash. We got a chance to check this device at their launch event and felt that the images had good clarity, even in low light environments. There’s also the beauty mode that softens and brightens your face for that perfect selfie. Even the 13 megapixels rear camera delivers good picture quality. The clarity, even after zooming-in the pictures was quite noticeable. The rear camera too comes with a F2.0 aperture. It has the SONY IMX 258 sensor, 5P lens, LED flash and PDAF (phase detection auto-focus).
Another highlight of this device is the 4010mAh battery, which lets you go on a selfie safari for an entire day without draining out.
The A1 metal-clad device comes with 5.5-inch screen size and 1920x1080 full HD resolution. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz MediaTek processor with 4GB of RAM and features the latest version of Android Nougat 7.0 with Gionee’s proprietary Amigo OS on top. The internal memory of 64 GB is expandable up to 256 GB. It is 4G and VOLTE enabled and has hybrid slots that can either accommodate dual SIMs or a memory card with a SIM.
Priced at Rs 19,999, the Gionee A1 is now available across their website, Amazon and other retail stores in India.
