Samsung's Oreo update roadmap for mid-range phones is here
When it comes to flagship department, Samsung has a strong foothold here with its S and Note series. However, it's mid-range smartphones face a lot of tough competition which make them struggle to fetch high numbers. The reason for this is perhaps Samsung's ignorance towards this segment and delay in providing timely updates.
Although late, Samsung is now all set to release the Oreo software update for a majority of its mid-range smartphones. AndroidPure has acquired a list of these smartphones which is a kind of 'roadmap' conveying the expected period of update reception for the devices. Looking at the list it could be told that all of them will have the updates delivered by the end of this year or early 2019.

In the list, there’s just one tablet and other devices are from the series J, A, C and On. Well, it’s a good thing that Samsung has turned its attention towards mid-range phone users but it couldn’t be denied that these models have always been the last to receive the updates as compared to their other brand rivals.
Right now, Android 9.0 Pie is the latest version of the OS which has been started to get integrated in several devices. Android 8.0 and 8.1 were released last year itself and they had started to be offered in several devices, lying in the same range as these Samsung devices in the list. Even after getting updated by the end of this year, the devices will be far behind in terms of updates as compared to other devices.
