Xiaomi recently launched its budget smartphone, Redmi 3S Prime for the Indian market. The device is priced at Rs 8,999 and is set to go on sale starting today at 12pm via the e-commerce website Flipkart and company’s online store, Mi.com.
The device was unveiled alongside the Redmi 3S, which comes at a price of Rs 6,999 and will go on sale a week after the Redmi 3S Prime. Both device are the first Xiaomi phones to be entirely “Made in India”.
Talking of specifications, the Redmi 3S Prime packs a 5 inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
The smartphone runs on MIUI 7.5 wrapped under Android 6.0 Marshmallow and features Adreno 505 GPU. The device also offers dual SIM functionality with 4G LTE support.
Camera wise, it bears a 13MP rear as well as 5MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and PDAF. It has up 32GB of internal storage capacity.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, Glonass, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Micro-USB. It is juiced by a 4100mAh battery.
