Samsung to announce two new phones alongside Galaxy Note 7 in India
Samsung has sent out media invites for its August 11 event, where the company will be launching the Galaxy Note 7 for the Indian market. Now there are also reports that Samsung may also introduce its Galaxy A9 Pro and the Tizen based Z2 smartphone to Indian consumers.
The Z2 is expected to be priced at $68, roughly around Rs 4,550 and will be available in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, as well as on the African continent.
As for the specifications, the Z2 is expected to come with a 4-inch AMOLED display and will be powered by a 32-bit quad-core CPU with 1GB of RAM and 4G LTE support. It will be fuelled by a 2000mAh battery.
On paper the device sure looks better than its predecessor Z1. Company’s My Money Transfer app will also be available for the upcoming smartphone and will be pre-loaded with S Bike and other Tizen applications. The smartphone will ship in two colors, namely black and white.
Talking of the Galaxy A9 Pro, the smartphone was unveiled earlier this year. It features a 6 inch display and is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snpadragon 652 processor with 4GB RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro runs Android 5.1.1 and is powered by a massive 5000mAh non removable battery. It has 32GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 128GB. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, FM, 3G, 4G.
