Panasonic launches Eluga Arc with fingerprint scanner at Rs 12,490
Mumbai: Expanding its range of Android smartpohnes, consumer goods manufacturer Panasonic recently launched the all new budget friendly Eluga Arc in India at just Rs 12,490.
According to reports, the smartphone will only be available in India for the time being and there is a possibility that it will be introduced in other regions later.
The phone packs decent specifications and commensurate to the reasonably low price tag. In terms of display, the handset is equipped with a 4.7-inch 2.5D curved glass capacitive HD screen.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage capacity, which can be expanded to 32GB via external microSD card.
One major downside is the adoption of Android Lollipop 5.1 as most handset manufacturers are now employing the latest Marshmallow OS.
In terms of camera, the device gets an 8MP primary shooter along with auto-focus, LED flash and video recording capabilities. Also, the 5MP front camera setup on the front side can click decent selfies.
The handset, like most modern ones, supports hybrid-SIM functionality, where users have the opportunity to either insert two SIMS or a single one along with an external microSD card for storage.
Other connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The smartphone also comes along with an infrared sensor, which can be used as a remote control for myriad household electronic appliances.
One of the most disappointing aspects of this handset is the extremely low 1,800mAH battery capacity, which is too low in contrast with other smartphones available in the same price range.
