New Delhi: Samsung Electronics on Tuesday announced the launch of its flagship devices, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, in the Indian market.
Samsung Galaxy S7 will be priced at Rs 48,900 and Galaxy S7 edge at Rs 56,900.
The launch in India comes within two weeks of the global unveiling and is expected to help the company to bolster its sales to buck the slowdown in the global smartphone industry growth.
Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will be available in India starting from March 18, 2016 and booking opened on Tuesday. All customers who pre-book before March 17 will receive a Gear VR free with the device.
“Amongst many other innovations, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge bring refined design language, advanced imaging capabilities, streamlined software functionality and unparalleled connectivity with a host of services and experiences,” said Samsung India mobile business director Manu Sharma.
