While no news regarding iPhone 8’s expected price has been revealed yet, a new report by Fast Company, which cited a source with knowledge of Apple’s plans suggests that the device could cost “north of $1000.”
In the past, leaks regarding the smartphone have suggested that Apple plans on integrating an OLED display with the device. This particular feature is more expensive in comparison to other traditional LED displays. Other improvements in the smartphone include the storage feature, which may be pushed beyond 256GB.
The report also describes the device as “something like a smooth black monolith, with few visual interruptions to its sleek design.” As far as the rumours regarding Apple’s plans to eliminate the home button is concerned, the report states that the Home button technology is still evolving as far as the company’s future plans are concerned.
The source further claims that Apple is currently working with Lumentum to develop 3D sensing technology. There are high chances that the new technology will be used in the device. However, no further details were provided by the source.
