Samsung confirms Galaxy Note 8 India launch date
S.Korea-based technology giant Samsung has confirmed to launch its latest flagship device Galaxy Note 8 in India on September 12, reaffirming the earlier speculations after it started sending press invites for an event in New Delhi to be held on the same day.
Samsung has already starting taking pre-registrations for the Galaxy Note 8 in India. However, the phone will reportedly hit shelves in September-end.
Samsung is expected to announce two Galaxy Note 8 storage variants – 64GB and 128GB to the Indian market, with the high-end model costing around Rs 65,000.
Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inch FullVision Quad HD+ display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835/Exynoss 8895 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM. The phone comes equipped with dual rear camera sporting 12MP sensors and an 8MP selfie shooter. Packed with 3300mAh battery, the Note 8 will operate on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Interestingly, on the day of Note 8 India launch, Samsung’s biggest rival Apple is unveiling three new iPhone models globally. However, all three iPhone models aren’t expected to arrive in India before October.
As a result, customers looking to purchase a flagship smartphone will have two options in hands – an android-powered Galaxy Note 8 or an iOS-run iPhone.
