iPhone 7: The difference between Jet Black and Matte Black

What Apple has in store for iPhone 7 turned out to be much more exciting than we expected.

Apple sure has reworked the design and antenna lines of the new iPhone 7 family. However, what is easily the biggest change with regards to aesthetics are the two new colours that the company has introduced. The phone is set to come in variants of Jet Black and Matte Black apart from the usual Silver, Rose Gold and Gold. As exciting as the two new additions look, what exactly is the difference between these two, anyway?

The Jet Black iPhone 7, as it appears, is glossy and since it’s only available in the 128GB and 256GB models, the cost is comparatively higher than the other one. What’s interesting to note with Jet Black is the fact that it’s high shine show ‘micro-abrasions’ with use. Thus, scratches, fingerprints or even the slightest of smudge will be easily visible.

On the other hand, Matte Black looks like a very dark grey. It is less intensive and has diffused reflections. It stays cleaner as it can withstand micro scratches from normal usage, much better. It will be made available in all storage capacities including 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
