ASUS has unveiled a new Chromebook in the Indian market. Called the ASUS Chromebook Flip C213, the laptop is aimed at the educational sector and boasts of a durable computer.
The new Chromebook runs Google's latest version of the Chrome OS on an 11.6-inch screen. The screen can be tilted to 360-degrees for ease of use while doing class presentations or watching videos. The Chromebook also boasts of a rugged body to sustain the rough usage pattern of students, the group that ASUS is targeting with this device. ASUS claims that the laptop can sustain drops from 1.2 meters and can easily go through 40,000 open-and-close cycles.
It also has a spill-proof keyboard with 2.0mm key-travel. The screen also has a scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass protection while enabling near-accurate touch registers. ASUS also claims of a 12-hour battery backup, which is a great feature to have in a laptop designed for students.
The Chromebook has a 5MP rear camera and an HD front camera for video calling. The price for the Chromebook hasn't been unveiled yet but expect it to be on par with existing Chromebook models from ASUS.
