The next iPhone can be delayed due to 3D Touch sensing tech

The report by CNBC suggests that the Cupertino company is facing issues with the 3D touch sensing technology, resulting in the delay.

Apple is expected to launch its 10th anniversary special iPhone 8 this year, but there are reports pouring that the smartphone can see some delays. If the rumours are to be believed, the device will hit the shelves in October or November.

Drexel Hamilton analyst Brian White has said that the 5.8-inch handset won’t make its debut in September, and will most likely be pushed ahead by several weeks. The report by CNBC suggests that the Cupertino company is facing issues with the 3D touch sensing technology, resulting in the delay.

The situation can improve, but the iPhone 8 pre-orders will still be delayed by several weeks, compared to the 4.7-inch iPHone 7s and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7s Plus.

Another recent report suggested that the iPhone 8 might not launch until October or November, as suppliers are reportedly encountering difficulties with the display lamination process, while also experiencing challenges when it comes to integrating the 3D sensing front camera system.

On the specification front, the iPhone 8 is expected to sport a 3D sensing front camera, which will be capable of recognising user’s face as well scan their iris. Apple is also said to incorporate the wireless charging technology on the upcoming iPhone 8.
