Samsung confirms Nougat delay for Galaxy S6 handsets
South Korean tech-giant Samsung rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to most of its devices including the S7 and S7 Edge smartphones in numerous countries. While S6 handset users were expecting the same some time soon, the company has officially confirmed that the update will be delayed for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones.
Samsung said that the update will arrive to Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices by the end of the February previously. However, the company apparently needs to review its quality and therefore, the update has been pushed to a later date.
The company hasn’t mentioned when the update will arrive. However, reports suggest that the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones will probably be the last ones to receive the OS update.
The Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones brings about a multitude of neat features including multi-window support, quick reply directly from the notification bar and an enhanced performance.
