Asus Zenfone 3 Laser: Kheench Meri Photo!

Zenfone 3 Laser makes you look good, even in low-light.

A little over a year back, Asus launched its Zenfone 2 range of smartphones in India. Of all the devices, the Zenfone 2 Laser stood out with its impressive camera features. For a device that was price less than Rs 10,000, the Zenfone 2 Laser came with dual flash and the ability to capture very high quality pictures, even in low light.

As an encore, seemingly, Asus recently launched the Zenfone 3 Laser. Yes, the image quality is good, and the cameras are now 13MP rear and 8MP front against 8MP and 5MP earlier, but the comparison ends there. The Zenfone 3 Laser comes with an aluminium alloy chassis, which looks much classier than its predecessor. It feels slightly lighter as well. Regular users of Asus phones are familiar with the control key on the back panel. The Zenfone Laser 3 follows the same tradition, but houses a cuter button, along with a fingerprint sensor.

Performance-wise, this device scores high on image capabilities. The 5.5 inches full HD device is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor that clocks 1.4GHz and comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage expandable to 128GB. Pre-installed with Android 6.0, the device comes with a 3000mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is responsive and the little enhancements in the Zen UI 3.0 make for pleasant navigation between apps and folders.

The highlight of course is superior images, especially the ultra fast focus speeds and in-built image stabilization technology that smoothens images on-the-go. Low light images are impressive and multiple enhancement options make it a breeze to do your own little post-production. The 4G dual-SIM (micro plus nano) device weighs around 150g.

At an asking rate of Rs 19,999, it is a slightly pricey option, unless you believe the photos that it churns out are worth the money you pay!
