Vivo has announced a new variant of its Vivo Y81, that was launched earlier this year. The new 4GB variant comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner and Full View display 2.0. Additionally, the company has also announced new offers on its existing Y-series devices that includes Y71i, Y83Pro, Y81 along with the Vivo Y81 (4GB). The company says that the Y-series portfolio has been designed to cater to the day-to-day needs of the Indian consumer.
As for the specifications, the Y81 (4GB) variant is a successor to the Y81 (offering 3GB RAM). It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek P22 Helio chipset. The device sports a 6.22-inch Full View display with a resolution of 1520x720 pixels. The smartphone comes with a rear fingerprint scanner for additional security.
On the imaging duties, the handset features a 13MP f/2.2 camera and a 5MP f/2.2 front shooter for selfies. The camera app offers options such as HDR, Portrait Bokeh, AI Face Beauty, Palm Capture and Group Selfie mode amongst others. The smartphone is available in Black and Gold colour variants. It is backed by a 3260mAh battery.
As for the pricing, the device costs Rs 11,990 for the 3GB variant and has been priced at Rs 13,490 for the 4GB variant. Besides, the Y81 (4GB), Y71i, Y83Pro and Y81 will be available for purchase at a discounted price on the company's own e-store, Paytm Mall and offline retail stores till November 15.
