The Google Pixel 3 XL has been by far the most leaked handset in recent history. Now, if you’re wondering as to when this handset will finally go official, Google has just sent out invites for an October 9 event in New York City.
The event will start at 11 am Eastern Time and at the event we expect Google to show off the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. There is a likelihood that the brand may also unveil a Pixelbook, however, the latter is not quite certain.
With the new smartphones, we expect Google to do wonders with minimal hardware. As far as specs go, the handsets are expected to come in 4GB and 6GB memory configurations. From the ever persistent leaks, we expect the Pixel 3 XL to feature a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels. The handset will come bearing a notch that is home to an 8MP sensor and a dedicated facial scanner. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC and the battery featured here is believed to be rated at 3430mAh.
The Pixel 3 will come sporting a 5.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It is believed to feature a Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It will come with a dual 8.1 camera for selfies and will have a 3000mAh battery.
At the event, despite a multitude of rumours floating around, we don’t expect to see a Pixel watch. In all probability, Google will launch it at a later date.
