Google Pixel to be first to receive Android O
Google’s Pixel, Pixel XL smartphones will reportedly be the first set of devices to receive the latest Android O update. If reports are to be believed then the smartphones will get the update by the first or the second week of August.
Android Police’s David Ruddock made this announcement on his Twitter account, wherein he suggested that the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones will receive the latest Android version through an OTA (over the air) update. According to the tipster, the release date might be subject to change in case unforeseen events take place.
To recall, Google rolled out the Android O Beta Program to eligible Pixel and Nexus smartphones including Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C, Pixel and Pixel XL. Users, who have opted in for the program, will be receiving an over-the-air update set to arrive in August.
