watchOS 4.2 update brings support for Apple Pay Cash and more

Apple Pay Cash is a virtual debit card in the Wallet app and hold money which the user can receive from Person to Person transfers.

Apple has rolled out the official watchOS 4.2 update for all its Watch models. The new update brings support for Apple Pay Cash, a service that enables users send, receive and request money from their contacts using iMessage. The new feature is only available for the users in the US.

Apple Pay Cash is a virtual debit card which appears in the Wallet app and hold money which the user can receive from Person to Person transfers. Users can withdraw the money to the bank account, and use it to send it to other people. They can also use it as payment in stores which accept Apple Pay.

Since the launch of Apple Pay in the United States, the payment service has been expanded to Canada, France, Russia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Spain, Ireland, and Taiwan.

The latest update also fixes several bugs including the ones with Siri and alarms. Apart from, the update also adds support for HomeKit faucets and sprinklers.

Users can manually update their Apple Watches by keeping their iPhones in proximity and launching the Watch app and go to the My Watch tab and then General > Software Update.
