No Snapdragon 836; Google's Pixel 2 flagships may stick to 835 SoC: reports
Last month, a leak by famous tipster Evan Blass suggested the next Google Pixel smartphone, Pixel 2, will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 processor. However, that will not be the case. In fact, there might not be any Snapdragon 836 SoC that will be offered by Qualcomm for is partners. Instead, Google Pixel 2 may end up using the same processor as found in top-tier 2017 Android smartphone, which is, Snapdragon 835.

The revelation came through Qualcomm’s sources, cited by two technology websites – XDA Developers and Android Police in their reports.
According to reports, the successor to Google Pixel smartphones launched last year will be manufactured by HTC (standard Pixel 2) and by LG (Pixel 2 XL). The recent reports regarding integration of Snapdragon 835 processor in the two models, reaffirms an FCC filling that said at least Pixel 2 will incorporate the same processor as most other 2017 released flagships use.
