Amazon leaks Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 ahead of launch
The J series of smartphones keep Samsung’s accounts flowing with cash in most of the developed as well developing countries. We have been on the look for Samsung’s updated mid-range series for the FY2017 and multiple leaks from tipsters have given us a fair idea of what the Samsung models would be looking like. Now we know most of the details about the Galaxy J5 2017, thanks to Amazon.
The listing on the French version of the e-commerce website revealed that the smartphone will be released on June 22. The page also shows the photos of the smartphone available in gold and black, it will cost consumers around Rs 20,000. The smartphone was shown having a 5.2-inch HD display, Exynos 7870 chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card slot. The phone also has a 2600mAh battery, dual-SIM support, and NFC. As expected from a 2017 smartphone, it runs Android Nougat 7.0.
The J5 is also supposed to made of metal, with a refreshed design approach for the rear panel and an S7-inspired front. The photo also shows the smartphone running a version of TouchWiz UI with an interface very similar to the Galaxy S8. We hope that Samsung brings down the price of the J5 when the device is launched in India so as to make it a fair purchase when compared to the competition.
